Dynamically Setting Master pages Wednesday, January 25, 2006 12:37 PM
I thought working with master pages was going to make my life easier, but I've learned that they're not as easy to work with as I would have thought. I thought it was going to be easy to change them on the fly but the web.config setting does not override the Page directive and the OnPreInit override is difficult to do because the page control tree hasn't been filled in when it is called so there's no easy way to store it on the page. I'll have to look into it some more.

ASP.NET 1.1 conversion to 2.0 Friday, January 06, 2006 11:15 AM
According to Common Web Project Conversion Issues and Solutions, a 24 page document, "Converting an application from Visual Studio .NET 2003 to Visual Studio 2005 is generally a smooth process." How can any conversion be noted as smooth when it requires 24 pages to discuss conversion issues?

I really like the new features in ASP.NET 2.0 but the new compilation process, breaks even simple things like class files. I'm dismayed at how many things work differently under Visual Studio 2005. I hope they get it right this time because I don't want to have to go through a similar learning curve for the next version of the framework.

Riri-The pain and swelling in your neck are likely from muscle strain and soft tissue injury from the strangulation and strh.glegTuere should be a non-profit or law enforcement agency in your area that provides services to survivors of domestic violence. Reach out to them to see if they know of any medical professionals that are familiar with injuries related to domestic violence. You probably have little or no bruising visible on your neck-the pain is from tissue damage inside the neck, so medical professionals not familiar with DV related injuries will not know how to assess you properly.
